The rails
Pix for instant domestic legs, plus licensed FX institutions and correspondent banks for the international leg. Your counterparty is paid in BRL from a regulated Brazilian entity.
Cross-border payments · Brazil
Same-day BRL settlement through licensed FX banks and Pix. Non-resident BRL accounts, clean documentation for customs and tax, and structures built to survive Brazil’s new eFX rules.
Regulated banks and licensed FX institutions only. No crypto settlement.
01 The Brazil corridor
Pix for instant domestic legs, plus licensed FX institutions and correspondent banks for the international leg. Your counterparty is paid in BRL from a regulated Brazilian entity.
Executed under Brazil’s modern FX framework by an authorised institution, with a contracted rate and a documented audit trail rather than an offshore workaround.
Non-resident BRL accounts and same-day value where the corridor and cut-off allow, so suppliers are paid on the day rather than at the end of a chain.
02 Who we do this for
03 Brazil in detail
Resolution BCB 561 takes effect in October 2026 and stops eFX providers settling cross-border transactions in stablecoins or crypto. Settlement must run through traditional FX operations or non-resident BRL accounts. A licensed VASP route still exists under Resolution BCB 521, but it is a different regulatory pathway with different obligations.
The practical effect is simple: a number of providers currently quoting attractive Brazil pricing are settling in ways that will not be permitted for eFX from October. If your Brazil flow sits with one of them, it needs re-papering. We place clients on bank and licensed-FX routes that are unaffected by the change.
Pix has made the domestic leg effectively instant and near-free, which is why so much marketing implies instant cross-border payments to Brazil. Pix is a domestic rail. The international leg is still an FX transaction that has to be executed and reported by an authorised institution.
Done properly, the two combine: your funds are converted under a documented FX contract and the BRL leg lands over Pix the same day. Done improperly, the FX leg is disguised, and the exposure sits with you.

Questions
Yes. We place you with licensed FX institutions and banks that pay your supplier in BRL domestically while you fund in your own currency, with the FX contract and documentation held in your name.
For most corridors, yes. Pix settles the domestic leg instantly, so the constraint is the FX leg and the cut-off time. Within cut-off, T+0 is routine. Outside it, next business day.
eFX providers can no longer settle cross-border payments in stablecoins or crypto; settlement must use traditional FX operations or non-resident BRL accounts. If your current provider settles in stablecoins, that route closes for eFX and your flow needs restructuring.
Brazil is not on the FATF list of jurisdictions under increased monitoring. Normal enhanced due diligence for cross-border trade applies, but Brazil does not carry the grey-list burden that Bolivia and Venezuela do.
