The rails
Domestic instant transfers for the ARS leg, paired with authorised entities accessing the official exchange market for the FX leg. Your supplier is paid onshore, in pesos.
Cross-border payments · Argentina
Most FX controls came off in April 2025. That changed what is possible for importers, exporters and service payers — and it changed which providers are actually worth using.
Official market routes. Documented FX contracts. No parallel-market structures.
01 The Argentina corridor
Domestic instant transfers for the ARS leg, paired with authorised entities accessing the official exchange market for the FX leg. Your supplier is paid onshore, in pesos.
Executed through the official market under BCRA rules, with the contract and settlement documentation in your name — not routed through blue-chip swap structures.
Import payments now have no BCRA-imposed minimum term, so the timeline is driven by your paperwork and the FX cut-off rather than a regulatory waiting period.
02 Who we do this for
03 Argentina in detail
On 14 April 2025 the BCRA issued Communication “A” 8226 and the government issued Decree 269/2025, removing most of the remaining exchange controls. Companies can pay for imports of goods without a BCRA-imposed minimum term, where previously a 30-day wait applied. Payments for services to unrelated parties can be made from the date the service is rendered or accrued. Related-party service payments came down from 180 days to 90.
Dividend remittance through the official market was reopened for retained earnings from fiscal years beginning on or after 1 January 2025, and the mandatory split of export proceeds between the official market and blue-chip swaps was scrapped.
For years, moving money in and out of Argentina meant choosing between waiting, or using structures that carried real exposure. A lot of providers built their Argentina business on those structures and have not rebuilt since liberalisation.
The right answer now is an authorised entity operating in the official market, with documentation that satisfies your auditors and Argentine customs. That is a smaller list than the market implies, and it is the list we work from.

Questions
Most of them, for companies. Communication A 8226 and Decree 269/2025 removed the main restrictions in April 2025, including minimum waiting periods on import payments. Some rules remain, notably a 90-day term on related-party service payments, so the structure still needs to be right.
Yes. We place you with authorised institutions that settle in ARS domestically while you fund in your own currency, with the FX executed in the official market and documented in your name.
There is no longer a BCRA-imposed minimum term for goods imports. In practice the timeline is set by documentation and the FX cut-off, so same-day or next-day is achievable on a clean file.
For most legitimate trade flows, no. The mandatory 80/20 split was eliminated and official market access was widened. Using parallel structures now adds exposure without a corresponding benefit.
